Fighting Domestic Violence

in collaboration with Le Regroupement Des Maisons Pour Femmes Victimes De Violence Conjugale.

For our 2nd collection launched on June 22nd, we are extremely proud to have joined forces with Le Regroupement des Maisons pour Femmes Victimes de Violence Conjugale in order to tackle a plague that is unfortunately and sadly still too present in our society, namely domestic violence against women and children.

With 43 houses located across Quebec, Le Regroupement des Maisons pour Femmes Victimes de Violence Conjugale constitutes a vast network committed, since 1979, to the right to physical and psychological integrity of women. Last year alone, the group welcomed more than 5,000 women and children, not counting the 17,000 who received services other than accommodation (outpatient consultations, procedural support, post-treatment follow-up, accommodation, etc.).

In Quebec alone and on an annual basis, police services record more than 20,000 offenses committed in a conjugal context, which represents 30% of all crimes committed against the person ... of which 78% of the victims are women.

In order to help these poor women and children, who will have been under the influence of their aggressor 24 hours a day with little means of calling for help for several months due to the containment caused by the COVID-19 pandemic , we have decided to develop a major awareness campaign in order to educate the population on this issue and above all, to provide the necessary tools to better support these women in need.

To do this, we’ve decided to take a Stylence Van Tour across Quebec to visit several of the 43 houses that are part of Le Regroupement des Maisons pour Femmes Victimes de Violence Conjugale. We had the chance to visit welcoming and warm homes and the privilege of meeting passionate workers with a big heart as well as such strong and courageous women. After capturing more than 15 hours of interviews, we took several weeks to structure all the information in order to develop 7 educational capsules that we shared through our social networks.

In terms of clothing, we have developed a summer collection under the theme Let Your Light Shine to send a message of hope and liberation to those women and children in need. This collection consists of t-shirts, crewnecks, sweatshirts and t-shirt dresses. All of our clothes are made from 100% organic cotton and designed here locally. The t-shirts, crewnecks and sweatshirts all feature the quote Let Your Light Shine embroidered on the front while the crewnecks and sweatshirts also proudly feature a work of art drawn by a local artist depicting our fight against domestic violence on the back. Finally and since this cause affects women as much as children, we decided to offer the sweatshirts and the t-shirt dresses in matching sets available in sizes 4-6 years up to XL.

For each item sold, we will donate $1 to Le Regroupement des Maisons pour Femmes Victimes de Violence Conjugale. In addition and to continue our commitment to the planet, we will also plant 1 tree for each item sold.

Thank you in advance for your support and together, let’s make a difference with style!
